Board Meeting Minutes
October 17, 2013
Hope Lutheran Church – Fresno CA
The meeting was called to order at 6:35 PM by our President Barbara van Rozeboom.
Reading and Approval of Minutes
September minutes were read and approved by the board members.
Reports of Officers, Boards & Standing Committees
Barbara van Rozeboom, President: Discussed the Quilt of Valor ongoing issues with the Board. Plan: Barbara will contact the new PR Director with the VA and explain to this person the issues the Guild has encountered with the program. The Board agreed to give the 10 promised quilts to the VA for their program.
Ann Dellavalle, Program Chair: November will be Susan Else who does fabric sculptures. Central High School Choral group will perform at our December Guild meeting.
Judy Bibb: Total ticket sales netted the Guild $3975 so far; Judy needs more tissue holders as these have proved valuable in selling tickets.
Michele Carlson: Website/Blog: Michelle presented the Board with the contract from Professional Services for review. The contract was reviewed and approved; the contract will be signed and returned to Matt Haas with a check for $1400 to begin building the new website. It will take approximately 6 weeks to build the website. Michelle will need calendar dates for all Guild events for the new website, also monthly BOM info, Fat Quarter info, program info, meetings list, etc., to include on the Website. A discussion ensued; it was decided to include the By Laws and Board meeting minutes on the Website also. Board minutes will be updated on the website once they are read and approved by the Board.
Sharon Carter VP: Sharon has plenty of Quilt Show info cards, JoAnn Silverstrom volunteered to take some of the cards to the Central Coast Guilds and shops to distribute.
Sue Simmons, treasurer: Current treasurer report was distributed to Board members.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 PM
